Name change considered
Lyttelton Harbour Board executives will prepare a report on what effect chang ing its name to Canterbury Harbour Board would have. At the first meeting of the new trade and commerce committee yesterday, members asked board officers to gauge the reaction of Lyttelton residents and unions to a possible name change. Mrs J. M. Waters told the committee that most other harbour boards were named after the province they served rather than the port they administered.
