Soviet crew changes

A Russian passenger ship, the Olga Sadovskaya, is due at Lyttelton today with replacement crews for three Russian trawlers in the joint-venture fishing fleet.

More than 500 Russian seamen and seawomen will be involved in the big crew change,! the third at Lyttelton in recent months.

The fresh crews were brought from Vladivostok in the Olga Sadovskaya, a 3923-ton passenger ferry. The three big stern trawlers to rendezvous with her at Lyttelton are the Taman, the Kaltan, and the Grotovy.

There will then be six Russian vessels in the port, including the Russian fishing fleet's “watchdog.”- the 1655-ton salvage tug Diokl.

The' United Enterprise will

call at Lyttelton on Sunday to load about 10,000 bales of Canterbury wool for China. The United Enterprise is a conventional loading ship charted by Sino-Chart to carry wool to the Chinese ports of Sinkiang and Shanghai. She will also take on tallow at Lyttelton.
