Last lingering look
Attention AnthonyAndrews fans — this is the last night that he will be on our screens for quite some time, so make the most of it! The popular series “Danger UXB." which first shot Andrews to the lop of the popularity stakes in the United Kingdom, ends this evening with a wedding — a welcome change for those dashing bomb-disposers of 347 Section. But there is still plenty of high drama as the section's barrack-room itself is hit by
a 'blast — and the discovery of a bomb that fell in 1940 spells potential disaster for at least two members of the Royal Engineers. Meanwhile back at Aunt Do-Do's. Brian Ash is recovering from his wounds, and at the Bakers. Norma and her mother are. making preparations for the forthcoming wedding of Norma to Sapper Mulley. Fixing up the shattered barrack-room, the rest of the section is wondering what to give the happy couple for a wedding present. Sergeant James says he thinks they would like a wedding dress for Norma. But how do they get the material without coupons? Corporal Wilkins has the answer — the silk parachute he has stolen, a parachute that is German property. Anthony Andrews stars as Brian Ash with Judy Geeson as Susan; George Innes as Corporal Wilkins; Jeremy Sinden as Major Rodgers; Maurice Roeves as Sergeant James; Deborah Watling as Norma Baker; Gordon Kane as Sapper Mulley: Margie Lawrence as Mrs Baker; Ken Kitson as Corporal Horrocks: Robert Pugh as Sapper Powell and lain Cuthbertson
as Dr Gillespie. "Danger UXB" is produced by John Hawkesworth and directed by Ferdinand Fairfax for Euston Films. Next week sees the return of the space hero Buck Rogers and his amazing
cohorts in “Buck Rogers in the 25th Century." for one episode only. A galactic creature that steals souls and turns people into walking zombies marks Colonel Wilma Deering as its next victim.
