Ministers brief

PA Wellington With the Prime Minister. Mr Muldoon, still out of the country, yesterday's Cabinet meeting was brief, and later brought no comment from the Acting Prime Minister. Mr Maclntyre.

The Parliamentary press gallery w'as advised that there would be no need for the usual post-Cabinet press conference because Mr MacIntyre had nothing to say.

The normal Monday morning session of the weekly meeting was not held because Mr Maclntyre was still travelling back to Wellington from the Waitangi Day celebrations in Northland. Ministers met yesterday afternoon to consider a short agenda. Mr Muldoon is due back at 1 a.m. tomorrow from an overseas trip that has included stops in Switzerland. Papua New Guinea, and Indonesia.

He is scheduled to take part in a two-day caucus meeting beginning tomorrow, after his arrival In his Air Force jet. which will fly from Jakarta via Australia.
