Further oil talks likely
NZPA-Reuter Vienna Fresh talks among O.P.E.C. oil Ministers are likely to be held in Venezuela next week, the Venezuelan Oil Minister, Dr Humberto Calderon Berti, has said. The O.P.E.C. news agency, in a report from Caracas, said that Dr Berti said that a number of Ministers from O.P.E.C. countries would ar-
rive in Venezuela on February 9. They would attend the inauguration of new refinery installations at Amuay. We hope to have new consultations regarding the current oil situation and the international reaction after the Geneva (0.P.E.C.) meeting." Dr Calderon Berti said. zuela this week to deliver a conference paper on the present energy crisis, the agency said. O.P’E.C. oil Ministers failed to agree on how to share out the glutted oil market at a meeting in Geneva last week, and industry analysts say that a cut in prices from O.P.E.C.'s official $34 a barrel reference price looks inevitable.
