System for Harris

Computer Consultants. Ltd. will release a sophisticated financial-administration system this year for the Harris range of mini-computers. The software will be available to users of CCL's timesharing service (at present provided by the Wellington and Auckland offices of the company) or to companies which install in-house Harris equipment. The financial administration system will feature a comprehensive generalledger module, capable of handling complex financial environments, according to the national Harris manager of CCL. Mr Bruce Fallaver. It will automatically interface with financial planning and business graphics systems, and will include other financial modules such as debtors, creditors, and fixed assets. It is designed for the larger organisation seeking an integrated financial system based on a database. CCL also plans to release a drafting package, com-puter-aided design and com-puter-aided- manufacturing packages, and new database and application-generator systems for the Harris computers. The company's major commercial package for . the computers is the Masterline suite of on-line software, which has particular strengths in order control, stock control, and marketing analysis. Masterline was introduced at the same time as the on-line time-sharing service. It forms the basis of CCL's software offering on the bureau machines.
