Belt catches fire
A rubber conveyer belt in an old Christchurch Gas Company building on the Moorhouse Avenue site caught fire yesterday afternoon. The Fire Service was called to the partly demolished building at 2.10 p.m. and had the fire out within an hour. It was thought the fire was caused by demolition work.
