A filly by the boom sire, Sir Tristram, was bought for $BO,OOO soon after she was passed in at $60,000 at the Daigety New. Zealand Yearing Sale in Hamilton on Sunday. The purchaser was Mr Don Gordon, a Hastings ownerbreeder. The attractive bay filly comes from a prolific winning female line. She is a sister of the good race mare, Pride of Rosewood, and a half-sister to Gaiter and Hello Sailor, which between them have won 10 races. Her dam. Clandara, by Sobig, is a winning daughter of the former champion two and three-year-old filly of her time, Challen, which is by Ruthless from Golden Climax.

A bay colt by Sil; Tristram and a bay colt by Le Fripon shared the next highest price of the day of $25,000.. The Sir Tristram colt was also bought outside the ring by a New South Wales studmaster, Mr F. D. Phillips. Sold on behalf of the Repotane Stud, Hamilton, the property of Mr M. J.
