NZPA-Reuter Sydney New Zealand had no answer to the superior co-ordination and tactical skills of Australia B. going down 3-16 in a play-off for third and fourth places' in the Speedo Cup men's international water polo tournament at the Sydney University pool on Saturday. In the first quarter, the Australians immediately dominated play with a goal in the firstminute. They continued to press forward to lead 5-0 at the end of the quarter. New Zealand improved in the second quarter and attacked strongly, but Australia B broke through to score once again. New Zealand came back in the last

minute of play and the promising young Wellington striker. Chris Jarvis, finally pul the ball through the posts. The pace quickened in the next quarter, but despite some aggressive play from the. New Zealanders, with both Jarvis and Forbes netting, the Australians held their advantage to lead 11-3 with only seven minutes left to play. Australia B then demoralised their opposition in the final quarter. adding another five goals as New Zealand collapsed alarmingly. In the final, a brilliant last minute save by the Australian A goalkeeper, Michael Turner, gave his team a heart stopping 11-10 victory over Spain.
