Surprise visit
Mickey and Minnie Mouse gave Philip Parker, aged five (above), the biggest birthday surprise of his life when they arrived at his Riccarton party yesterday. Mrs Barbara Parker said her son had had his heart set on the Disneyland duo accepting the party invitation, especially with many of bis friends away on holiday, but
he was “absolutely staggered” when they walked up the driveway. Philip was so overcome that he vanished into the background and even forgot to give them their pieces of birthday cake. Mickey and Minnie are in Christchurch until tomorrow on a New Zealand tour promoting Mobil service stations.
