Plenty of runs were scored on an excellent batting wicket at Horton Park, Blenheim, on the second day of the three-day cricket match between Canterbury B and Central Districts B yesterday. Earlier Central Districts had carried on in confident fashion to advance its overnight score from 100 for two to 270 before declaring with five wickets down. The highlight was a second wicket partnership of 134 by John Smith (JLOO, with 13 fours) and Ron Hart (41). Brian Richards made a grand 75.
