World Cup applications
NZPA-Reuter Zurich Joseph Blatter, the general secretary of the International Football Federation (F.1.F.A.), said yesterday that all four countries which had expressed an interest in staging the 1986 World Soccer Cup had formally sent in
their “acts of candidature” before the January 10 deadline. Canada's candidature was telexed yesterday, while those of Brazil, Mexico and the United States were received some time ago, he said.
