CONDITIONS OF The Christchurch Press Company, Ltd. takes every care with advertisements offered for publication in "The Press" but it is not responsible for wrong classifications, noninsertions or early insertion because of accident or otherwise. The company reserves the right to alter, abbreviate or omit advertisements received and paid for in the normal course of business if they contravene or appear to contravene the law, if they appear to be objectionable of for any other reason. The Company shall be under no liability whatsoever by reason of any error, for which the Company may be responsible in any "advertisement, beyond the cost of the space occupied by the error. Telephoning or forwarding an order, whether on the company's advertising form or not. shall be deemed to be acceptance of these conditions. Persons telephoning advertise- . ments may be given approximate quotations of cost only, and such quotations are in no way binding. Advertisements are classified under the headings to which the company believes they belong and for the convenience of readers. If, in the opinion of the company, advertisements do not meet this requirement they may be placed in what is regarded as their appropriate classification. The Press Company will not be responsible for more than one incorrect insertion of any advertisement ordered for more than one time. No credits will be given for telephoned advertisements which have appeared incorrectly in “The Press” unless we are notified within 48 hours of the date of insertion. Every advertisement must carry the name and address of the person authorising publication. Engagements and marriage notices must be signed by the two persons concerned, a parent or some acceptable person must sign birth notices, and death and in memorium notices must be signed or transmitted by some acceptable person.
