i But he faces stiff opposiI tion from the Perth pacer, Skiptar. and Australian Pacing Championship winner, Black Irish. Gammalite, which set an Australian mobile race record last Friday, has drawn perfectly at Barrier No. 4 in the 2625 m final.
Skiptar’s trainer, Ray Wisbey, said he believed Skiptar had a chance to topple Gammalite after seeing the small Western Australian six-year-old’s big-hearted run over 2275 m at Gloucester Park last Friday night. Skiptar ran Sinn Fein into the ground
after they ran neck and neck for 1500 m in their qualifying division and fought on to beat Neeron Boy home.
