Dance a success

A fund-raising dance and auction at the Lincoln Community Centre- hall raised $2lOO for the radiotherapy department at Christchurch Hospital. The function was organised by a Hoon Hay woman, Mrs Elsie Cameron, who over the last 5 1Z 2 years has raised about SSOOOJ most of which has helped cancer patients.

More than 300 people attended the dance and auction. Entertainment was provided by the Cathedral Squares square-dancers, the Lincoln Scottish country dancing group, and Betty and Spence. A sales table and raffles were, also organised.

The money will go towards a $146,000 computer for the radiotherapy department.
