Call for track supervision
Adult supervision should be encouraged at the Heathcote County Council B.M.X. track to '.e built in Hunter Terrace, the Christchurch City Council's works and traffic committee has said. The county should also consider providing toilets on the city's waterworks pumping station site if they were needed. A ban on the use of loudspeakers would be
placed on the neighbourhood recreation track. Cr H. A. Clark said that providing water to the site, to keep down dust and to promote treee and grass growth, should be another condition of the B.M.X. track’s approval, but that condition .was rejected by the committee. The committee recommended a lease of the pumping station corner site for the B.M.X. track.
