$514,000 for irrigation
Parliamentary reporter The Government yesterday approved an additional’allocation of $514,000 for irrigation construction in Canterbury this financial year. The member of Parliament for Selwym Miss Ruth Richardson. said that $265,000 would, be allocated to the Balmoral scheme, $135,000 to the Waiau scheme, and $114,000 to the Glenmark scheme. The allocation represented a 2 per cent increase in the million funding for irrigation this year, she said.
