Waterfront clean-up

Rubble and broken glassy will be cleared from part of?? the Estuary waterfront to-' morrow to make it safer for sail board riders and other public users. The president of the Canterbury Board Sailing Association, Mr J. H. Dowle, said its members had organised a working bee to clear the waterfront near. Scott Park which was a popular

launching spot for sail board riders. “It is a fairly scruffy area,” he said. “People are getting cut feet all the time in the water.” The association had suggested to the Christchurch City Council that it also replace the crumbling rock wall which was causing the problem, and build toilet facilities in the area.
