ASSISTANCE TO BLOOD TRANSFUSION SERVICE A PUBLIC MEETING will be held in the lady Wigram Hall. 33 Cashel Street, on Friday next. December 10,1982, at 2.30 p.m. to form a branch of the N.Z. Red Cross Society (Inc.), which would be responsible for supporting the N.Z. Blood Transfusion Service in the Canterbury area. The responsibilities of the proposd branch would Include the recruitment and rostering of volunteer medical aides, publicising the work and needs of the Service and fund-raising for specialised needs. • Because of the critical importance of the Blood Transfusion Service to modern medicine. the Society would like to see a big attendance of its own members and the public generally at the public meeting. ■J.
