Money raised for unit
A concert by Christchurch Hospital staff has raised $2550 for the Mahu Kennedy alcohol assessment unit at Sunnyside Hospital. The money will be used by the Mahu Association to buy extra equipment for the clinic, possibly audio-visual equipment. Dr Norman Walker, who works at the clinic, said that the association recently held a camp at Wainui for reformed alcoholics. About 90 people attended. He described it as the biggest and most successful camp organised by the association.
