Singers’ vacancies

Christchurch’s chamber choir, the Jubilate Singers, has up to four vacancies for next year. These are for one or two alto, and one or two bass voices. The group was formed in 1977 by the present director, Mr Martin Setchell, who is a lecturer at the University of Canterbury’s School of Music. The Singers are particularly known for their per-

formances of Renaisance and Baroque music, although their repertoire also includes chamber choir music of all periods. Entry to the group is by audition, and for a minimum period of one year. Interested singers can contact the musical director on 557679 for further information or audition times. This should be no later than Wednesday December 15.
