Whiz kid set to achieve aim
With five examination passes attained David Tan. aged 15, looks set to achieve his aim of completing an honours degree at the University of Canterburv when 16. In his examinations this year he gained two A-pluses in mathematics papers, an Aplus in micro-economics and a C-plus in a computer science paper. His parents' and professors’ concern about the effects, of publicity means that
he is unavailable for interviews, but he was said to be . delighted with his results when he received them yesterday. - . A mathematics prodigy, David Tan- is the youngest student to ;have enrolled at Canterbury University. He passed-University Entrance mathematics at the age of 10, and last year won an A bursary while gaining straight As in six university examinations he sat “informally."
