Hawkins
The Hong Kong subsidiary of McConnell Dowell Constructors, Ltd, itself part of the enlarged Hawkiiis Holdings group, has won an $8 million Hong Kong Government contract to lay a freshwater pipeline beneath Hong Kong's harbour. The project involves laying a twin 1000 millimetre diameter mild steel sub-marine main a distance of 1.4 kilometres and is due for completion by the end of 1983.
