A Superstar rose-is placed by Mrs Noeline Herriot in a display for the Canterbury Horticultural'' Society’s annual rose show, being held in ; the Horticultural Hall, today and tomorrow. The Society’s secretary, Mr T. W. B. Clarke, said the show had -attracted more than' lON .’ entries from throughout Canterbury. Recent' rain .meant , that the standard of roses should not.
be affected by drought. ; F Floral arrangements are another big drawcard at the rose show, the biggest event of the society’s year. Exhibits also include cut flowers, fruit and; produce, and pot plants. . Judging will take place before the show.opens to the public from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. today. Viewing hours tomorrow are from 10 am. to s|Un.\
