Andropov chosen

NZPA Moscow The Communist Party Politburo member, Yuri Andro-' pov, aged 68, was elected general secretary of the Soviet Communist Party late last evening, in succession to Mr Brezhnev. The announcement was made early this morning, N.Z. time.
