Air chief visits N.Z.
Australia's Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal S. D. Evans, will arrive in Christchurch today at the start of a week-long New’ Zealand visit.
Air Marshall Evans will be met at Christchurch Airport at 8 p.m. by the New’ Zealand Chief of Air Staff, Air ViceMarshal D. E. Jamieson. Air Marshal Evans will inspect a 50-man guard of honour at the Royal NewZealand Air Force base at Wigram at 8.30 a.m. tomorrow. He will spend the rest of the morning in conference with the air officer commanding the support group and inspecting units at the base.
On Sunday Air Marshal Evans will arrive in Wellington, where he will have talks with the Minister of Defence, Mr Thomson, on Monday. Before returning to Canberra on Wednesday. Air Marshal Evans will visit the R.N.Z.A.F. bases at Ohakea and Whenuapai.
