A taste of Spanish culture for Paul Rouse, aged nine, and Katharine Duthie, aged eight, participating in a traditional Spanish dance yesterday. More than 2000 Christchurch school children have sampled features of different ethnic groups in a two-day language festival at the Christchurch Teachers’ College. The festival, organised by the Canterbury Association of Language and college teachers, included singing, dancing, cooking, and competitions to introduce a fun way of learning languages. Another festival is planned for 1984.
