Car used as ram
A car was used as a battering ram in a smash-and-grab raid on Crescent Jewellers, Ltd, at 84 New Brighton Mall, at 2.15 a.m. yesterday. The management was still stock-taking yesterday afternoon to find out exactly what was stolen through the smashed shop window, but it was believed to be thousands of dollars worth.
Earlier in the night, video equipment had been stolen in a smash-and-grab raid on Home Appliances. . Ltd, in Cashel Street.
