Bargain fare for Americans
From LES BLOXHAM Americans can fly from Los Angeles to London on Air New Zealand for only SUS 339. The one-way stand-by fare has been available since the airline started flyjng the route two months ago. The airline’s advance purchase fape, which guarantees a seat, is SUS43I one way or SUS 799 return. Challenged about the cheap fares at the annual conference of the New Zealand travel agents in Singapore yesterday, Mr Norman Searle, a senior executive of the airline, said they were “only an introductory offer.” New Zealand agents are not permitted to sell the fares in this country.
