Applicants must have served a recognised apprenticeship in electrical fitting and installing, be certificated tradesmen and hold a current electrical worker's licence, together with a certificate in electrical or electronic engineering draughting from Western Australian Technical Education Division or its equivalent. Candidates must have had suitable experience in maintenance of boiler and turbo-alternator electrical plant, including light current systems, generator excitation systems, closed circuit television, alarm annunciator systems and programmable logic controllers. The appointees will undertake electrical maintenance and project work of a technical nature and, as required, prepare switching programmes and carry out isolating for work permits at remote equipment locations associated with the power station. The power station is located at Muja, which is close to the Darling Ranges and some 55 kms from attractive beaches and the Port of Bunbury. It is within easy driving distance of Perth. The climate is temperate with mild wet winters and hot dry summers. The salary range is 5A18,461 - 5A20.990 per annum.
