Intertasman dividend
PA Wellington Shareholders in Intertasman. Ltd. the small listed Dunedin company reactivated by Wellington interests earlier this year, will receive their first dividend for more than 15 years next week. The directors have announced a 10 per cent dividend on the 50c shares, the maximum allowed by the dividend regulations. The dividend reverses of a 15-year trend of no returns to shareholders.
The company was acquired in March by a group of businessmen closely connected with the unlisted Nova Interior group. Since the acquisition company management and structure has been changed. A profit of $16,324 was reported for the March 31 year, against a loss of $16,095 in 1981.
