Dr Sprott to retire
PA Whangarei The Auckland chemist, Dr T. J. Sprott will retire from his analytical chemistry business in December. He has offered his business, T. J. Sprott and Associates, and its assets to his staff of 27, but said that even if they did not buy it he planned to leave on December 3. Dr Sprott said he planned to work on his own account and to conduct a "one-man campaign” on the road toll.
He plans also to continue his campaign on behalf of Murray John Kestle, who is serving a prison term for the murder of his wife. Dr Sprott said he also wanted to write his memoirs, which would include his work on behalf of Arthur Allan Thomas, who was con-
> victed of the Crewe murders but pardoned in 1979. ) Dr Sprott said he would , continue as a director of > Northern Pulp, Ltd, in which - he has been involved since - its inception.
