No rider yet for Charles Beaufort
Charles Beaufort, one of the favourites for the DB Grigg Stakes, the second leg of the T.A.B. double and treble at . the Ashburton County Racing Club’s meeting today, was left without a rider last evening. Russell McAra, who had a tentative booking for the Beaufort Sea colt, was last evening confirmed as the rider of the Wingatui galloper Gravel Rash. The Riccarton trainer of Charles Beaufort, Dave Kerr, said that be would probably make a decision on the rider of his horse at the meeting today.
