Wholemilk market expanding
PA Wellington The Dairy Board has sold more than $24 million worth of spray wholemilk powder to Venezuela this year. The main reason for this dramatic rise in sales is an association it has developed with a major. .Venezuelan milk processor, the board says.
“Last season, this buyer was sold 14,000 tonnes of spray wholemilk powder. This season the customer has been sold 16,000 tonnes, worth some $24 million, for shipment from October through to February.
. "This week the board has also confirmed the sale of 5000 tonnes of wholemilk powder to another major Venezuelan processor. The sale will be. shipped in two equal lots, the first leaving late this year." The board says that last season sales of wholemilk to Venezuela were worth more than $2O million, double that of the previous year. A board delegation, will visit Venezuela in the course of a market servicing tour, which will also cover Mexico, Panama, Peru, and Chile.
