Inflation drops
The International Monetary Fund (1.M.F.) says the inflation rate for industrial countries was 7.9 per cent in the second quarter of this year, well below the first quarter rate of 9.7 per cent. The fund put the secondquarter rate in 1981 at 9.7 per cent. The I.M.F. also reported a "continued stagnation." of trade among the industrial countries in the second quarter of 1982. — Washington.
