NZPA Canberra The Australian drought will cost at least sAust22oo million in lost agricultural production, the National Farmers’ Federation predicted

The N.F.F. president, Mr Michael Davidson, said the drought was among the worst on record. He said more than half of Australia’s 170,000 farmers were hit by drought and for some, it was the third consecutive year.
