Amaze leads throughout
PA . Dunedin The favourite Amaze, the most tightly-assessed horse in the field, led all the way for a convincing win in the Air N.Z. Free-For-All Pace, the first leg of the T.A.B. double, at Forbury Park Kintyre, in his first race since May, ran on strongly from a trailing position on the outer of the third line for second, three and ahalf lengths from the winner, The promising Stampede broke at the start and settled back on the inner. He flashed home late for a close third. Roydon Loch also scored a front-running win in ’ the second leg, the Highgate Free-For-All. . The Scottish Hanover gelding, trained on the course, won ;by - one and a half lengths from the strong-fin-ishing Skip Master, with a length to Van Mac Faber, who made ground from the third line. \
