Beauty queen’s gems stolen from house
PA Auckland The title of “Miss Uni-verse-New Zealand" has lost some of its glitter for Sandra Dexter, aged 21. Jewellery valued at more than 52000 has been stolen from her home in Sandringham, Auckland. Miss Dexter, a freelance model in Auckland, won the “Miss- Universe-New Zealand"- title in Christchurch in April. In July she travelled to
Peru to compete in the "Miss Universe," 1982. pageant. The Sandringham house she shares was burgled when it was empty for about 90 minutes one evening last week. Miss Dexter said: “When I came in about 8 p.m. the place had been turned over. I am sure someone had been watching the house, as it had only been vacant for 90 minutes?'
