NAMES AND REPRESENTATION IT is hereby publicly notified that at special .Meetings ot me Council held in the Council Chambers Fendalton, on Tuesday. July 6 and Monday. August 9. 1982 the Waimairi District Council passed resolutions. by way of Special Orders, in respect of the Riding Boundaries.Namesand Representation tor the next general election of the Council, to be held in October. 1983. The purport of the resolutions is as follows: The Council has adopted a plan whereby in future the District will consist of six ridings in place of nine as at present. These ridings are generally defined hereunder along with details of their names, and representation:1. A riding, formerly being part-of the Styx. Belfast and Harewoon Ridings, named -BELFAST Riding" ano represented by one member. 2. A riding, formerly being part of the Styx and Marshland Ridings. named "STYX Riding" and represented by one member. 3. A riding, formerly being part of the Styx. Marshland. Harewood and Papanui Ridings, named "PAPANUI Riding." and represented by two members. 4. A riding, formerly being part of the Harewood and Wairarapa Ridings, named -WAIRARAPA Riding." and represented by three members 5. A riding, formerly being part of the Avonhead. Wairarapa and Middleton Ridings, named "AVONHEAD Riding" and represented by three members. 6. A riding, formerly being part of the Wairarapa. Avonhead. Fendalton and Middleton Ridings, named "FENDALTON Riding” and represented by three members. . This action has been taken in accordance with the provisions of Section 56 of the Local Government Act 1974. A copy of the resolutions, along with a plan defining the boundaries may be inspected at the District Office, corner Jeffreys and Clyde Roads, during normal office hours. It is further publicly notified that the foregoing resolutions will be submitted to a Special Meeting of the Council to be held in the Council Chambers. Pursuant to Section 35-3 of the Noxious Plants Act. 1978, every occupier shall cause to have trimmed both sides and top all live fences and hedges consist ing of "Class B" noxious plants by November 30, 1982. Failure to comply with this requirement may cause such hedges or live fences to be treated as noxious plants. Pursuant to Section 50-1 of the Noxious Plants Act. 1978 every occupier. OTHER THAN THOSE whose road frontages are under the control of the ■ Authority, shall. CLEAR THEIR ROAD FRONTAGES of "Class , B" noxious plants by November 30, 1982. Failure to comply with this requirement may cause notice to be served under Section 51-1 of the Noxious Plant Act. 1978. Anv appeal against such notices must be lodged in writing within 14 days accompanied by a fee of $lO. to the authority. A district programme and policy is provided and maintained in respect of implementing its requirements and functions under this act. This programme and policy has been circularised to all ratepayers, but if necessary, may be inspected at the County Office between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.. Monday, to Friday. .
