Aw PROPOSED NATIONAL PARK PUNAKAIKI REGION IN TERMS OF SECTION 8 of the National Parks Act, 1980, the Director-General of Lands has been requested by the National Parks and Reserves Authority to investigate and report on a proposal for a new. national park in the Punakaiki region. The area covers publicly-owned land (excluding freehold-and leasehold) between the coast and the summit of the Paparoa Range, from the Tiropahi River in the north to the catchment of the Punakaiki River In the south, and including the Ananui Caves and their immediate catchment. Interested persons and/or organisations are invited to make written submissions on the proposal. Submissions close with the Director-General of Lands, c/- Commissioner of Crown Lands, P.O.
