McMillan Motors Ltd is a successful and expanding Ford dealership in metropolition Auckland which, as a result of a reallocation erf executive responsibilities, wishes to appoint an experienced and capable Accountant and business administrator to its Group of Companies in the position of Financial Controller, with the opportunity to also assume the position of Company Secretary to the Group at a suitable future time. This is a new position and the person appointed will assume over-all responsibility for monthly and annual reporting, budgeting and planning and will direct the financial operations of all companies within the Group. He/she will assume the mantle of principal administrative officer and will be expected to be involved in detailed financial negotiations with regard to lines of credit and other facilities and some previous experience in a manufacturing environment would also be of assistance. It is intended after a suitable period that the Financial Controller will also be appointed Secretary to the McMillan Group of Companies and as such would assume the necessary statutory responsibilities and obligations, together with a corresponding closer involvement with the Board of Directors. McMillan Motors Ltd has a considerable reputation for efficiency and innovation within the motor industry and, with the inclusion of other trading and manufacturing companies within the Group, combined turnover is in excess of $36 million per annum. Other companies within the group for which the Financial Controller would be responsible are Cheviot Industries (NZ) Ltd (Alloy wheel) manufacturer, (importer and exproter) and Auto Sistema New Zealand Ltd (importer and wholesaler of CNG/LPG equipment). The opportunity presents itself for any capable and successful professional, qualified A.C.A. or equivalent, in the age range 30/45 whq has a proven track reccrd in financial management and in human relations and whq wishes to avail him/herself of the opportunity to relocate in the Auckland area. He/she will be an innovator and achiever and will require te be involved in all aspects of dealer and company management. Reasonable removal and relocation expenses will be paid to enable any successful applicant living outside Auckland to take up the post.
