Recreation grants
The Christchurch City Council has so far received more than 250 applications for grants from the Govern-ment-funded recreation .and community development scheme. Last year, the council had about $169,000 to distribute, with requests, from applicants totaling about $1.4 million. This year, applicants seek from $lOOO to $2OOO each. Allocations will be made in November.
