Real estate officers
PA Invercargill Mr T. F. Johnston, of Dunedin, was elected president of the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand at the institute's annual conference in Invercargill. The senior vice-president for the last two years. Mr Johnston, succeeds Mr M. E. Neill, of Auckland. Mr Johnston, who is 49. was elected unopposed. Mr W; H. Mathewson, of Tauranga. succeeded him as senior vice-president. Other election results: Junior vice-president. Mr P. J. Cook, of Christchurch. Council: Messrs G. Barfoot (Auckland). J. N. Grant (Christchurch), R. A. Hewitt (Auckland), E. J. Patton (Hamilton), B. J. MacPherson (Invercargill), and W. J. L. Simpson (Oamaru).
