An LPG-powered 4.1-litre Ford Falcon XE has outpaced all existing Australian national 24-hour records. It covered the greatest officially recorded distance of 4240 kilometres at the highest average speed of 176 km/h ever achieved in Australia in 24 hours. It also established 17 speed and endurance records. The completely standard car was run continuously in two-hour relays.
