Cardrona: Main, trails groomed, off trails wind-packed powder; chains required. Fox Glacier: Last fall August 17; fresh powder to firm wind pack; ski plane and helicopter operating; guided day trips; excellent conditions. Tasman Glacier: Last fall 15em August 17; surface powder; excellent ski-ing. Ben Ohau Heli-ski: Fresh fine powder on two-metre base; helicopter operating. Turoa (North Island): Hardpacked snow conditions with one metre fresh snow in gully. Fresh to strong westerly winds are predicted for the week-end. but the weather should be mainly fine.
