In the last ten years wine,consumption in N.Z. has doubled from seven litres to fourteen litres per head. I he long held industry belief in its own growth prospects has been supported by the Industries Development Commission report and by government implementation of the majority of the recommendations. ■

It is not a new idea overseas. "Eight” white wines have been the main wines predominant in Erance for many years. I his type of wine has also been popular in the American Market lor about 15 years and i' also very popular in Australia.
