Haden improves fast

PA Auckland The All Black lock. Andy Haden, has trained lightly with the Auckland representative squad and his chances of playing in • the second test against the Wallabies'on Saturday week are improving. Haden left the field in Saturday’s first test with a sprained ankle and knee and on Monday gave himself little better than a 50-50 chance of recovering in time for the second tegt.

But he was able to run without too many problems on Tuesday night and said yesterday that the injuries were definitely improving. “The knee is 0.K., but the ankle has stiffened up again after last night’s training,” Haden said. "I can run straight on the ankle but changing direction causes problems. I’m getting S iotherapy treatment 1 and this is helping. It’s improving and I could be ready to play again by Saturday week.”
