‘Restaurant to re-open’
The Wagon Wheel restaurant at the Carlton • Hotel, closed on Thursday by the Health Department, should re-open early next week, according to a Lion Breweries spokesman, in Wellington. The company had earlier said it was “bamboozled” by the closing as it thought it. had until September 1 to do minor improvements. “Obviously if work has to be done now then it will be done,”, said a Lion man, Mr G. E. Lovelock.
The company planned to completely upgrade the restaurant in some weeks, but in i the meantimea dishwasher and other “minor matters” would be fixed.
