Vicar for St Martins
The Rev. Simon Ballantyne will serve as the vicar of St Martins in Christchurch from December.
Mr Ballantyne. the present vicar of Kensington-Otipua in Timaru, received his theological training at the University of Canterbury and College House in Christchurch, and was ordained in 1966. He has served curacies at Cashmere Hills and Ashburton, and was the vicar of Ross and South Westland and Methven, before being appointed to his present position in 1977.
