"On-air" sales of Manawatu Radio Company, Ltd. — during 10 months — reached $783,354. most of which was generated from the region. This compares very favourably with the projected sales figures of $620,000. the directors announced yesterday.
. An operating surplus of $52,838 has been achieved, but after allowance for depreciation ($55,952) and establishment and pre on-air expenses the net loss for the period is $205,383. The budgeted loss of $135,000 was exceeded by $70,000. and this occurred in the areas of salaries, wages, and commission. extra-ordinary items (that were reported bn previously in the six-monthly report). royalties, and interest.
